Bellingham Park And Recreation
Bellingham might be one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the United States, but it's also a wonderful place for people who love the great outdoors to live. In fact, Bellingham leads the nation in the amount of available green space. Even though it's experiencing substantial growth, the city still reserves a whopping 15 percent of its vacant land to build new parks and to maintain its natural preserves. If you're an outdoors person, you'll love the clean and green atmosphere of Bellingham. Whether you like mountain climbing or sailing, you'll find something you enjoy doing in our town. The variety of outdoor recreational activities offered in and around the city is actually one of the main reasons many of our current citizens decided to move here. The wonders of the Bellingham Park and Recreation system have not only caught the attention of potential residents. They've also been noticed by several national associations and magazines. For instance, the American Hiking Society and the National Park Service designated Bellingham as one of its "Trail Town USA" cities and the National Geographic Adventure Magazine says you would be remiss if you did not climb Mt. Baker or kayak around the San Juan Islands. My name is Ken Harrison and I'm a Bellingham real estate agent. As such, I spend the majority of my time promoting the benefits of living in Bellingham. As an implanted resident, I was so impressed by the city the first time I visited Bellingham that I kept coming back until I eventually made Bellingham my home.
