Bellingham Washington Condos
Bellingham Washington is having increasing difficulty meeting the housing needs of its new and existing residents. Fortunately, condominiums, townhouses and other multi-living structures are helping to ease the burden. But what should you expect to pay for a condo in Bellingham? The average asking price for Bellingham Washington condos is $238,938. This is more than double the median sales price for a condominium sold in the year 2000, which was $100,000. Today, you can still find a condo for around $100,000. It just depends on what area you want to live in The type of features you want in your individual unit will impact the price. You'll obviously pay more for a three-bedroom condo than a two-bedroom condo, provided they are in the same complex. The same is true if you have more bathrooms or additional square footage. Other condos are priced based on the extra amenities provided by the condominium complex. For instance some condominium communities offer their residents use of an on-site club house, or exercise room. And some complexes will only allow people over a certain age to move in. All of these things can determine whether the condo you're interested in is affordable. If you need someone to help you sort out the different types of condos available for sale in our town, give me a call. I'm Ken Harrison, a local Bellingham realtor, and I'd love to explain the ins and outs of buying a condo here.
