776 H Street Lynden WA

Bachman Manor is a Tudor style 14,796 square foot home on a 29.55 acre property. It was built in 1976 by Randy Bachman of the band Bachman-Turner Overdrive (BTO) for 3 million dollars as a weekend retreat, though by the time it was finished it had become the family’s primary home. The home was used as a recording studio for Randy and guests who stayed there such as Frank Sinatra, the Beach Boys, members of the Beatles, and rocker Sammy Hagar.

The estate as well as the property has had many upgrades since its original build. Bedrooms were expanded into luxurious suites, walls removed to reveal a more open floor plan with grand living spaces and historical features preserved. The chandelier, inspiration for BTO’s logo, still gloriously hangs in the front room.

The studio, where legendary tracks were recorded, maintains its chapel like quality.

An additional outbuilding equipped with a 9 car garage, bowling alley, and full basketball court were added, along with a large lake at the front entrance of the property.

Bachman-Turner Overdrive has sold over 20 million albums worldwide and are known for 1970’s era songs, such as Let It Ride, You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet, and Takin’ Care of Business.
